After a collision
If anyone is injured or there is immediate danger, call emergency services first. Follow instructions from responders at the scene. When towing is appropriate, tell dispatch the vehicle’s position, damage and whether it can roll or steer.
Recovery and transport
A vehicle off the road, overturned or blocked by damage may require recovery equipment and extra personnel. Discuss the recovery plan, destination and applicable charges before authorizing service when you are able to do so.
Police towing and release
Police-directed towing and impound releases may require authorization and documentation. Call the office before travelling to the yard to confirm release requirements, the balance and available release hours.
